О фильме:
Накануне войны лейтенант погранвойск Иван Буров прибывает из краткосрочного отпуска для продолжения службы на границе СССР и Польши. После нападения германских войск Буров единственный, кто остается в живых на вверенном ему участке государственной границы. Тем временем враг уже продвинулся далеко на восток.
Узнав, что оккупанты хозяйничают в деревне, где живет Ханна — возлюбленная Бурова, он решает вести собственную войну с захватчиками. В одиночку, среди болот и лесов, в жару и в холод, без сна и отдыха, Буров становится серьезной угрозой для фашистов, своеобразным «духом мщения» — за погибших товарищей, за отнятое право любить...
